Statistic activity of national scope that allows us to get updated and reliable information, to perform the tracking and evaluation of Budgetary Programs, contributing to the design and guidance for public policy for improvement of living conditions of the population; runs continuously, since the year 2010 in urban and rural area of the country.

Currently, 59 968 households randomly selected, are visiting annually; ensuring its representativeness and technical rigor; each interviewer is in charge of 8 households in urban area and 16 households in rural area, all usual residents of the households of 12 years old and older are interviewed.

To provide information with updated and reliable statistics for monitoring and evaluation of indicators of results of different Budgetary Programs.
