National production increased 1.53% in November of 2025

National production registered a growth of 1.53%, in November of 2025, compared to the same month of the year 2024, due to the differentiated behavior of the productive sectors, among those that have been highlighted are: Construction; Other Services and Commerce; followed by Government Services; Transportation, Storage and Courier; Services Provided to Companies; Accommodation and Restaurants; as well as Electricity, Gas and Water.
Nevertheless, Agriculture; Fishing; Mining and Hydrocarbons; Manufacturing; Telecommunications and Financial sectors showed an unfavorable behavior.

Likewise, it was informed that from January-November of 2025, the productive activity of the country increased 3.39% and in the last twelve months (December 2024- November 2025) by 3.55%.
Production of Agro-livestock sector decreased by 0.96%
During November of 2025, the Agro-livestock sector contracted by 0.96%, compared to the same month of the last year, due to the decrease of the production of the agriculture subsector (-2.82%), before the lower volumes of paprika (-79.2%), maize in corn (-53.2%), carrot (-41.8%), garlic (-40.8%), mango (-39.8%), sweet potato (-29.0%) and mandarin (-24.5%); determined by lower harvested areas of the main agriculture products and influenced by adverse climatologic factors such as lower water resource and temperatures higher than its minimum average value.
Nevertheless, the livestock subsector increased by 2.26%, explained by the greater volumes of fresh milk (3.8%), swine (3.2%), poultry (2.9%) and eggs (0.8%) production.
Fishing sector decreased by 17.85%
During the month under analysis, Fishing sector reduced by 17.85% compared to November of 2024, due to the lower extraction of maritime origin resources (-17.56%), intended for indirect human consumption indirect (anchovy for fishmeal and fish oil) by registering a total capture of 762,975 tons that against the 1,068.249 tons extracted in November 2024, extracted in November 2024, translated in a contraction of 28.6%. In this result influenced the lower days of effective fishing (6 days less) registered in the north-center area of the coastline, where it started the extraction in November 7th; meanwhile that in the same month of 2024, fishing developed since November 1st.
On the other hand, the landing for direct human consumption grew 22.24%, mainly due to the greater extraction of species for frozen (49.6%) and consumption in fresh state (8.6%); nevertheless, it decreased for the preparation of cured (-53.6%) and processing of canning (-60.1%). Fishing of continental origin decreased 22.34% due to the lower extraction of species for fresh state consumption (-16.5%), frozen (-46.1%) and for preparation of curing (-40.6%).
Mining and Hydrocarbons sector reduced by 6.47%
During November of 2025, Mining and Hydrocarbons sector contracted by 6.47%, due to the negative result of metal-mining subsectors (-6.16%) and hydrocarbons (-8.60%). First of all, it registered lower extraction of copper (-12.1%), molybdenum (-7.3%) and tin (-19.1%); meanwhile, it increased the production of zinc (13.7%), lead (10.8%), iron (5.6%), gold (0.4%) and silver (0.03%).
Secondly, hydrocarbons subsector registered a negative behavior explained by the lower volume of exploitation of crude oil (-19,0%), natural gas (-9.0%) and liquids of natural gas (-1.3%).
Production of the Manufacturing sector decreased by 2.12%
During November of 2025, according figures of the Ministry of Production, the Manufacturing sector reduced 2.12%, compared to November of 2024, determined by the contractive result of the primary manufacturing subsectors (-7.00%) and non-primary manufacturing (-0.05%).
The negative result of the primary manufacturing subsector was determined by the low level of activity of the branches of processing and preserving of fish, crustaceans and molluscs (-19.5%) and production of the primary product of precious metals and other non-ferrous metals (-7.4%); nevertheless, it expanded the manufacture of products of crude oil refining (20.8%), preparation of sugar (9.8%), as well as the manufacturing and preserving of meat (1.8%).
The negative result of the non-primary manufacturing subsector was explained by the reduction in the production of the industry of consumption goods (-6.36%); nevertheless, the industry of capital goods grew (19.34%) and intermediate goods (1.27%).
Electricity, Gas and Water sector increased by 1.10%
During the eleventh month of 2025, the Electricity, Gas and Water sector showed a variation of 1.10%, compared to the same month of the last year, explained by the favorable result of the electricity (0.93%), gas (1.35%) and water (2.32%) subsectors.
The dynamism of the electricity subsector answered to the hydroelectric origin energy sector by 10.57% and non-conventional renewable origin energy (wind-solar) that grew by 43.22%; nevertheless, thermoelectric energy decreased by 17.55%. The increase of the gas subsector was determined by the greater demand of companies by 10.88% and the establishments of vehicular natural gas for vehicles (NGV) by 4,10%; nevertheless, Power Generators decreased their distribution by -0.55%.
The positive variation of water subsector was based in the greater generation of the following companies: Empresa Prestadora de Servicios de Saneamiento de Cajamarca S.A. - EPS Sedacaj (26.5%), Agua Tumbes (16.7%), Entidad Municipal Prestadora de Servicios de Saneamiento del Cusco - EPS SedaCusco (12.5%), EPS Grau (9.5%), SedaChimbote (8.1%) and Sedapal (1.0%), among the main ones.
Production of Construction sector increased by 9.83%
During November 2025, Construction sector increased by 9.83%, compared to the same month of 2024, reflected in the dynamism of the domestic cement consumption (11.15%) and the physical progress of public works (7.08%).
The greater domestic cement consumption was associated to the progress of private works such as infrastructures of factories and warehouses of the construction, electric, telecommunications, mining and food sector; as well as construction of multifamily buildings, among others.
In adittion, the execution of public works executed within the Local and Regional government level; menawhile, it decreased within the National government level. In that regard, it outstood the works of road infrastructure and basic services, but it was affected the investment in cosntruction of non-residential buildings and in works of risk prevention.
Commerce sector increased by 4.17%
During November of 2025, Commerce sector increased by 4.17%, compared to the same period of 2024, driven by the wholesale trade (3.52%), mainly by the increase in the distribution of fuels intended to transportation, mining and agriculture; in addition, of the refueling of retail gas stations; the sale of metals, minerals and iron and steel products; the sale of household goods driven by the dynamism of the pharmaceutical products, electronic items of recreation and household appliances in its three commercial lines; as well as the sale of perfumery articles and cosmetics, through marketing strategies, associated to Christmas campaign and opening of new facilities; and commercialization of heavy-duty machinery (hydraulic excavators, excavators and front-end loaders, hydraulic pumps and electric equipment), intended to activities of mining and construction sector.
The retail trade increased 3.96% due to the favorable performance of supermarkets, hyper-markets and minimarkets, associated to the opening of new stores and to the greater demand of groceries and beverages. At the same time, it contributed the sale of fuels for automotive vehicles in gas stations and self-services; the commercialization of pharmaceutical and medicinal products, strengthened by the opening of new sales points and strategically placed facilities. The automotive segment increased 9.98% due to the greatest offer in models of four, three and two-wheeled vehicles; favored by the access to credit and the type of competitive exchange, also influenced by the events such as “Autofest SJM” and “La Ciudad de las Motos 2025”.
Production of Transportation, Storage and Courier sector grew 3.25%
During the month under study, the production of Transportation, Storage and Courier was greater by 3.25%, compared to November of 2024. In the result of the month contributed the greater activity in the transportation (3.77%) and storage and courier (1.93%) subsectors.
The positive result of the transportation subsector answered to the greater demand of transportation by road and pipping (3.25%), due to the largest displacement by road (3.68%), of passengers (4.8%) and load (2.2%); on the other hand, transport by pipeline decreased by 8.55%, before the lower production of crude oil, natural gas and liquids of natural gas. Transportation by air grew 5.29%, before the increase in the movement of load and passengers at national and international level. The transportation by waterways positively varied by 3.66%, due to the greater transportation of goods and passengers by river, as well as the increase of load transportation by sea.
The growth of storage and courier subsector by 1.93%, was explained by the positive variation of storage services and activities of support to the transportation (2.0%), as well as postal and courier services (0.3%).
Accommodation and Restaurants sector increased by 4.38%
During November of 2025, the Accommodation and Restaurants sector increased by 4.38%, explained by the positive performance of restaurants (4.44%) and accommodation (3,83%) subsectors.
The behavior of restaurants subsector was linked to the positive variation of restaurants business (4.13%), beverage service (11.80%) and the service of food for transportation and concessionaires’ companies (1.87%); dimmed by the reduction in the activities of catering foodservice (-5.07%). This productive activity was driven by the greater liquidity in the market, before the new withdrawals of pension funds, CTS, linked to the performance of events such as Black Friday and 2025 Copa Libertadores final.
Financial and Insurance sector decreased by 0.27%
During the eleventh month of 2025, the Financial and Insurance sector contracted by 0.27%, compared to the same period of 2024, determined by the lower credits of financial companies (-42.5%); as well as deposits of financial companies (-41.3%), that counterbalanced the increase registered in the rest of entities of the financial system.
At the same time, it affected the credits and deposits in foreign currency -0.8% and -4.3%, respectively, in the entities of Multiple Banking. In the segment of credits in foreign currency, decreased mortgage credits (-16.8%) and business loans (-0.03%).
On the other hand, the deposits according to sector showed drop specially in time deposits (-5.6%) and CTS deposits (-1.3%).
Telecommunications and Other Services of Information decreased by 0.64%
During the month under study, the Telecommunication and Other Services of Information sector reduced by 0.64%, compared to November of 2024, due to the contractive result of other services of information (-3.01%) and telecommunications (-0.34%) subsectors. The downward behavior of the other services of information subsector answered to the lower activity of television and radio programing by -6.5%, edition services (books, newspapers, magazines) -4.1% and activities of computer programing by -2.1%.
On the other hand, the negative result of the telecommunication subsector was explained due to the lower activity of telephone services (-5.1%) and data transmission services (-3.2%); nevertheless, Internet service and pay television service (6.3%), in the Internet area grew.
Sector Services Provided to Companies increased by 4.14%
During November of 2025, Sector Services Provided to Companies registered a positive variation of 4.14%, compared to the same month of 2024, mainly driven by advertising and market research (5.3%), professional activities, scientific and technical (4.3%), travel agencies, tour operators and reservation services (3.7%) and activities of administrative and support services (3.6%).
Government services registered a growth of 4.39%
During the month under analysis, Government Services increased by 4.39%, compared to November of 2024. Contributed to this result the greater activities performed by institutions of Public Administration (4.4%), Defense (4.7%) and Other Government Services (0.8%).
